  • The IDF write pro-Palestinian names on missiles; Hijab offers a legal fight, Gozali accepts and later declines citing monetary concerns.
  • This emphasises Hijab’s courage, inspiring Muslims to be brave in challenging oppression and working to free Palestine collectively.

This story begins on December 16th when the IDF wrote several names of pro-Palestinian activists on a missile. Among those names was Da’ee, an accomplished orator distinguished by an independent and discerning intellect (Allahumma Barik), co-founder of Sapience Institute, author, and multifarious academic Mohammed Hijab, (did I forget to mention Oxford graduate?). The question implores consideration: What rationale could underpin such a decision?

Could this represent a calculated strategic move in the name of intimidation, given Hijab’s substantial influence in shaping the narrative on the Palestine issue? His inaugural interview with Piers Morgan, amassed a remarkable 8.2 million views on YouTube and serves as a testament to his considerable impact. Notably, my own anecdotal evidence suggests a transformative shift in the perspectives of even staunch Zionist supporters post-engagement with this interview.

Might it be posited that this action finds its origins in the humiliation of ‘Holy Schmoly’ and his son Mendy, an IDF soldier-crafted as a calculated threat. This gesture by the IDF unequivocally signifies a host of setbacks and defeats in their ongoing onslaught in Gaza.

Irrespective of this, it’s somewhat worrying how the IDF are able to write the names of anyone challenging Israel’s reprehensible regime on missiles, missiles which blow up babies I hasten to add, without any repercussions.

Subsequently, Piers Morgan questioned Israeli Ambassador Mark Regev, a guest on his show, about why certain names of his former guests and non-combatant pro-Palestinian activists were written on missiles. Regev responded nonchalantly, suggesting the soldiers might have been aiming for creativity and humour. He added, “Didn’t the British do this?” However, I have no doubt in my mind that if someone wrote his name on a bomb or missile, he’d sprint away faster than his own shadow.

In response, Brother Hijab fearlessly extended a legal challenge to any IDF member for a one-on-one fight, setting a deadline of 12 hours for acceptance. Clearly unfazed, Hijab displayed no signs of intimidation or concern in the face of such an absurd gesture.

Curiously, Gozali had previously written the names of various Muslim UFC fighters onto an artillery shell and shared the post on Twitter with the caption, ‘This is my message to (rat emoji).’

Gozali, nick named, the  ‘Israeli Batman,’ is a retired, 50-year-old Israeli mixed martial artist who gained recognition in Bellator MMA. He holds a fifth-degree black belt in jiu-jitsu and has competed across the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions during his career.

Contrastingly, Hijab has not previously engaged in any professional fights.

S2J News has exclusive access to the correspondences, including emails and WhatsApp messages exchanged during the negotiation stages of the fight. It transpires that there was nothing badass or Batman-like about the ‘Israeli Batman’ after all, shifting the conversation towards potential monetary gain, he ultimately declined the fight. Brother Hijab’s decision not to engage in such discussions is completely understandable, as he explains in his recent YouTube video, the incongruity of boycotting Starbucks and Coca Cola while simultaneously sending funds to the adversary. As Hijab highlights, such actions would amount to contradictory behaviour.

I’m not sure what the Israeli Wasteman, I mean Batman was thinking. Perhaps he assumed the fight would be a staged spectacle, similar to when in the world of boxing, Logan Paul faced Mayweather- a situation we all recognised as primarily motivated by financial interests.

A Muslim man who is sincerely fighting for the sake of Allah (even within the confines of legality) is a man who has entered a completely distinct realm. A man who is a formidable force to be reckoned with. It’s plausible that this might be what unnerved Gozali, leading him to ultimately reject the fight.

Interestingly, why hasn’t Gozali proposed a fight to any professional Muslim fighters such as Belal Muhammad, Khabib Nurmagomedov or Islam Makhachev or even Khamzat Chimaev? Instead, he went for the public speaker without a fighting record. As Muslims are unequivocally asserting their dominance in the UFC, Gozali didn’t have a shortage of fighters to choose from.

Our brothers Mohammed Hijab and Khabib have integrity and honour and have proven again and again that the true muslim soul does not care for money. Brother Khabib showed us this when he refused to work with sports betting sponsors and honoured a promise to his mother by turning down a potential fight with Mayweather. As Muslims our battle is always to not care about the transient allure of this world, a concept evidently unfamiliar to Gozali.

Forgive the diversion; let’s return to the matter at hand concerning Mohammed Hijab. Hijab has extended legal fight offers to numerous Islamophobes throughout his online career, including individuals such as Tommy Robinson, all of whom have declined. Hijab has faced criticism for these actions, with many questioning why he seeks a confrontational approach, some even suggesting that he should stick to debating. In addition, during the Leicester riots last year, Zeeshan Ali of Smile 2 Jannah, also challenged the ‘Violent Vegetarians’ aka Hindutva to a legal boxing fight. Interestingly, no one accepted his invitation. Instead the Hindutva proceeded with their illegal riots in Leicester. The question arises: should duat be extending legal fight invitations to anyone? The fusion of sound intellect and physical prowess is a commendable aspiration for Muslim men. Muslims should aspire to embody polymathic qualities reminiscent of the golden age. In addition, every Muslim man ought to possess the skills of self-defence and physical strength, essential for safeguarding their religion, families, and honour, these are integral components of their responsibilities and a part of their job description. Furthermore, numerous YouTubers who transition into boxing, as exemplified by those in ‘Misfits’, encounter minimal criticism for straddling both domains- YouTube and boxing.

Given this assertion, our focus should never waver away from the hellish humanitarian crisis our Palestinian brothers and sisters currently find themselves in, the unspeakable monstrosities committed by “the most moral army in the world” and their utterly relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip!. Consequently, if you’re in and around the Birmingham area next week, it would be a good idea to attend the scheduled event which is raising funds for Palestine, featuring Khamzat Chimaev and Mohammed Hijab.

The courage, fortitude and unwavering resilience exhibited by our brother, Mohammed Hijab, stands as a beacon of inspiration for Muslims- to be fearless and resolute! We are promised victory by Allah and we must behave like we whole heartedly believe this. Mohammed Hijab has become a role model and inspiration for many young Muslim boys around the world, embodying tenacity and perseverance. His commitment to intellectual pursuits, and fearlessness in confronting challenges has garnered admiration and motivation among the youth, fostering a new generation of empowered Muslims in shaa Allah.

Brother Hijab impels us to epitomise fortitude when confronted with the futile attempts of Zionists who try to silence our voices. They attempt to manipulate the narrative. However, when the ideological war has already been won and Israel is rapidly losing support globally, it’s a clear indication that we must continue working towards freeing Palestine collectively. This incident glaringly reveals the cowardice of Israel, resorting to aerial bombardments “from fortified towers” but faltering in direct man-to-man confrontation. Additionally, Israeli newspaper Haaretz has stated that ‘Israel is losing this war’.

May Allah swt free the oppressed…Ameen
