● French MP Sebastien Delogu was excluded from the Assembly after branding a Palestinian flag.
● His political party, LFI, based on the left of the political spectrum, protested by wearing the Palestinian colours.
A rare occurance happened on Tuesday, June the 4th as the leftist party NUPES were dressed with the colours of the Palestinian flag. This follows the exclusion, one week ago, of MP Sebastien Delogu.
As MP Alma Dufour was addressing the assembly, she talked about the hell in Rafah, the burning of 50 innocent people and the starving of 2 million Palestinians. She demanded that France stop all economic ties with Israel and send its blue helmets to help with the humanitarian situation.
In response, she was told, once again, about October the 7th while Sebastien Delogu, MP with the political party called La France Insoumise or France unbowed, branded proudly a Palestinian flag.
He was immediately escorted outside and his flag was taken away.
The Assembly speaker, Yaël Braun-Pivet, a notorious zionist who stated at the very beginning of the genocide in Gaza that France was supporting Israel unconditionally, threatened the MP and eventually got him excluded for 15 days. During this time, he was not allowed to be present and partake in any political discussions.
It was not long before French social Media exposed the hypocrisy of the speaker who claimed that Mr Delogu was excluded because it is forbidden to brand any foreign flag within the assembly.
Indeed, Yaël Braun-Pivet has been seen several times wearing a pin with both the French and the Israeli flags intertwined.
She also blatantly lies when she claims that no foreigner flags have ever been allowed in the assembly as the Ukrainian flag had been branded on several occasions.
In protest, the NUPES which comprises of France unbowed, the French Communist Party and the Ecologists have come wearing the colours of the Palestinian flag.
It is interesting to note that the Socialist Party, which has benefitted for a very long time from the Muslim vote in France, has refused to participate in this operation and has been very ambiguous on the Palestinian genocide.
The assembly speaker, at the sight of this, reminded that MPs have to respect the dress code…
It is a beautiful sight and a victory for democracy in France as most of the public opinion is appalled with the humanitarian situation of Gaza and now Rafah.
As the European elections are coming and even a political party called the Free Palestine Party will run, we can only pray that Europe will start acting and come to the rescue of the Palestinian people, as the genocide has now spread all the way to Rafah.
