Christian missionaries attempt to dissuade Sneako from Islam at Hyde Park’s Speakers’ Corner.

The Qur’an has been beautifully preserved by Allah. On the contrary, a plethora of evidence suggests manipulation of the Bible.

During his visit to London, popular influencer and steamer Sneako has been actively engaging with numerous members of the Dawah team. Together, they have delved into thought-provoking discussions surrounding topics such as Dajjal and the prophecies of Prophet Mohammed (saw).

In addition to Sneako’s widespread influence, it is perhaps this very engagement with the Dawah team that has exacerbated the unease among many Christian missionaries who frequent Speakers’ Corner.

Last Sunday, Sneako found himself amidst the lively debates at Hyde Park, Speakers’ Corner, where he encountered a Christian eager to challenge him on the preservation of the Qur’an. With a confident smirk, the Christian posed an absurd question, “You accept the Qur’an has 10 Qirat, right?”

It was a calculated move, one that revealed the Christian’s awareness of Sneako’s recent conversion to Islam. The preacher, identified as Chris, clearly felt threatened by Sneako’s influence.

What are the Qirat of the Qur’an?

The Qirat denote different recitations of the Quran. However, despite these subtle variations of recitation, the Quran remains preserved in its very essence- cover to cover, a preserved text for 1400 years.

Narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. It is reported that Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said:

"I heard Hisham ibn Hakim reciting Surah Al-Furqan (25) differently from me. Consequently, I was about to quarrel with him during the prayer, but I waited until he finished, and then I tied his garment around his neck and seized him by it and brought him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, 'Messenger of Allah, I heard him recite Surah Al-Furqan differently from the way you taught me.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, 'Recite, Hisham.' So he recited it, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'It was revealed like this.' Then he said to me, 'Recite, Umar.' So I recited it, and he said, 'It was revealed like this.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'The Qur'an was revealed in seven modes, so recite from it whichever is easier for you.'"

Bible Preservation

Interestingly, 94% of the New Testament Greek manuscripts originate from the 8th century, a period subsequent to the revelation of the Quran. Consequently, we see how there are undoubtedly issues with how the Bible could’ve been preserved in any form. Additionally, it is imperative to highlight the unregulated transmission of biblical texts and the prolonged process of forming the New Testament, which did not reach completion until the 3rd century.

Furthermore, Papias of Hierapolis, who was an early Christian bishop and writer who lived in the late 1st and early 2nd centuries AD confirms that the bible has clearly been tampered with. Papias is significant because he is one of the earliest known Christian writers to have provided information about the authorship and origins of the Gospels of Matthew and Mark. His writings have been studied by scholars seeking insights into the early Christian community and the development of Christian literature. In one of these fragments, preserved by the church historian Eusebius of Caesarea, Papias refers to the writings of Mark and Matthew as “memoirs of the apostles”.
In addition, Eusebius, Church History, Book 3, Chapter 39 reads:

"For I imagined that what was to be got from books was not so profitable to me as what came from the living and abiding voice"

Bruce Metzger, a highly esteemed Christian scholar, also recognised the complexities involved in the reconstruction of the Greek New Testament.

In his book, ‘A textual commentary on the greek new testament’, second edition, page 11, Metzger asserts:

"Of the approximately 5,000 manuscripts we have today, no two agree exactly in all particulars. A mass of conflicting readings. Editors must decide which variants deserve to be included in the text and which should be relegated to the apparatus."

Interestingly, on the same day at Speakers’ Corner, Sneako skilfully dismantled the Trinity:

Despite these futile attempts to dissuade Sneako from his faith, he continues to thrive and find fulfilment in his time spent with the brothers from the Dawah team in London. May Allah fortify his faith even further. Ameen.
