  • Danny Tommo ended his Southampton weekend soaked in urine and incapacitated by police with pepper spray.
  • Worse still, one friend tried to rinse Tommo’s eyes out, thinking it was water, only to use blackcurrant Lucozade.

It was a soggy weekend for Southport’s self-styled riot-inciter Danny Tommo, one of Tommy Robinson’s closest pals.

After doing his best to stir things up in Southampton, he ended Sunday in poor shape — soaked in urine and pepper sprayed by police.

Tommo, a convicted kidnapper, is one of Robinson’s long-time mates. The pair were recently spotted holidaying together in Tenerife.

Sunday’s chaos followed a protest the previous weekend, when anti-migrant demonstrators at the Highfield Hotel came off second best in clashes with opponents. Tommo took this personally and issued an appeal to “The Men of England” to come to Southampton and “do what you need to do.”

It wasn’t quite his infamous call after the Southport murders that “every city must go up!” but the message was clear enough for his 47,000 online followers.

Approximately 600 of them gathered in the Portswood area on Sunday, met by about 400 counter-demonstrators. UKIP leader Nick Tenconi also made an appearance, from his own humiliation in London the day before.

Someone on a footbridge launched a bottle of what was allegedly urine toward Tommo’s crew and scored a direct hit on the ringleader himself. Even Tenconi caught some of the splash.

Tommy Robinson’s dearest and nearest was not amused. When he tried to chase the thrower and ignored police orders, officers responded with pepper spray. Moments later, Tommo was on the ground, spluttering and moaning.

But things got worse. Far-right “auditor” AY Audits, also known as Anthony Barnes, rushed to help and offered Tommo a bottle to rinse his eyes.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be blackcurrant Lucozade. The results were immediate and predictably painful.

On his YouTube channel yesterday, Tommo stated that he “was done with protesting”and, more alarmingly, made insinuating and provocative remarks such as, “It’s time now, lads.”
