UFC fighter Michael ‘Venom’ Page has officially embraced Islam, sparking widespread excitement among Muslims and intrigue among non-Muslim fans.

With experience across multiple disciplines, Page’s life now enters a new chapter.

Former Bellator star Michael Jerome Reece-Page, known as Michael ‘Venom’ Page, who joined the UFC earlier this year, has often been seen praying in a mosque, sparking speculation about his religious beliefs. However, his conversion to Islam has now been confirmed Allahu Akbar!

Fans and Muslims flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts. One enthusiast celebrated, writing:

“Great news, may ALLAH make everything easier for him.”

Another commented on the prevalence of Muslim fighters in the division:

Damn, welterweight is stacked with Muslims.”

Another user humorously suggested that his wrestling might see an upgrade, stating:

“Wrestling is loading.”

Page is a 37 year old British fighter, whose father is from Trinidad and mother is from Jamaica. A UFC countdown episode revealed that he grew up in a family of martial artists as both his parents were Lau Gar kung fu practitioners. He revealed that having learned kickboxing from a young age had helped him stay away from trouble when the family moved into a harsh neighbourhood.

Page is known for his karate-based style. Having competed in kickboxing, boxing, and bare-knuckle boxing, Page made a mark in mixed martial arts. He has been a regular competitor in the sport since his debut in 2012.

During the course of his career as a professional mixed martial artist, he garnered a record of 22 wins and 2 losses. He ended his stint at Bellator in 2023 after years with the fight promotion. Page was eventually signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he made his debut on March 9, 2024, at UFC 299 in a welterweight bout against Kevin Holland.
