Tommy Robinson has been avoiding accountability while living abroad since July, following serious contempt of court charges in the UK.

Upon his arrival at Luton Airport, Robinson was not apprehended, despite numerous allegations implicating him as a key instigator of the London riots this summer.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, widely known as Tommy Robinson, has been evading accountability abroad since July, following serious legal charges of contempt of court in the UK.

This charge stems from his film Silenced, a highly inflammatory piece that he promoted during a protest in London. The film serves to amplify thoroughly debunked and defamatory claims about a Syrian refugee, which had already cost Robinson a major libel case in 2021. Despite the court’s ruling against him, Robinson continues to use his platform to stoke division, doubling down on dangerous and false narratives rather than facing justice.

In a video message, a day prior to boarding his plane, he said how he expected to be arrested. He also directly appealed to Elon Musk, expressing gratitude for allowing him to share his defamatory film on X.

In his most recent legal skirmish, the High Court had granted Robinson two months to return to the UK to face justice, yet upon his arrival, he was not arrested, despite the activation of a bench warrant.

Robinson has been using his platform to rally support for a protest against Labour Party leader Keir Starmer, while opposition figures such as Jeremy Corbyn and others are organising counter-protests to denounce the “division and hatred” that Robinson consistently promotes.

Robinson’s troubling past includes his libel case related to Jamal Hijazi, a Syrian refugee who was assaulted at a Huddersfield school. The High Court found Robinson’s claims that Hijazi had attacked “young English girls” to be utterly false, ordering him to pay £100,000 in damages. Yet, Robinson continues to rehash these lies in his public statements and in his latest film, reflecting his long-standing pattern of promoting harmful disinformation and evading accountability.

His next court hearing approaches on October 28.

Robinson is at the centre of a growing movement of far-right extremism, fuelled by his relentless attacks on marginalised communities.

During the London riots in August, Robinson played a vital role in exacerbating tensions on the streets. He provided daily commentary from his hotel in Cyprus, calling for “mass deportations,” stating that the protesters had “legitimate concerns”. “Islam a mental health issue,” Robinson said during these troubling weeks of disorder, hate and violence, encouraging others to join future demonstrations. One of his posts said, ’get there and show your support. People need to rise up.’ Rioters continued to chant Tommy Robinson’s name and “Who the f*** is Allah?” – these are chants regularly heard at far-right demonstrations.

Furthermore, a significant portion of the mainstream media attributed Robinson as a primary instigator behind the unrest during the riots.

CEO and Founder of The Cordoba Foundation found how Robinson and his financiers are linked to the Zionist state of Israel. “Israeli authorities are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the military operations and attacks in Gaza since October 7th 2023…the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel, said in a new recent report,” in June 2024
