• Palestine Action target Leonardo’ office following a Christmas Day protest against UAV Engines, an Elbit Systems factory that supplies drone components to Israel.
• They say the British gov are facilitating Israel’s military actions in Gaza despite bans on arms exports. Activists said that ordinary people need to resist the genocide.
The offices in London of Israeli arms manufacturer Leonardo were targeted by Palestine Action on Sunday.
The company’s offices in Eagle Place, Piccadilly, were left covered in red paint — symbolic of the blood bath of Palestinians left during Israel’s ongoing genocidal attack on Gaza.
Palestine Action stated that despite the British government’s ban on sending parts for F35 fighter bombers to Israel from firms in Britain, parts have been sent via the United States and F35s are still being used to attack Gaza.
The action against Leonardo’s offices followed Palestine Action’s Christmas Day operation against UAV Engines.
The UAV factory in Shenstone, Staffordshire, is owned by Elbit Systems, Israel’s biggest arms manufacturer. It supplies parts for Israeli military drones and pilotless war planes.
A Palestine Action spokesperson asserted: “Leonardo are a blood-thirsty weapons company directly involved in the Gaza genocide.
“It is shameful that they are still allowed to operate here while the complicit British government looks the other way or lies to give them cover.
“The level of slaughter taking place in Gaza is unsurpassed in modern times, and with governments around the world doing little or nothing to stop it — or even actively assisting in it — it is up to ordinary people to do their bit to stop the genocide.
“History will judge those who are complicit on the one hand and remember those who stood up against it on the other.”
More than 45,000 Palestinians have been brutally massacred in Gaza at the hands of the Israeli regime. According to the prestigious Lancet journal, over 186,000 Palestinians have been slaughtered.
