● Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos hit Indian military targets, caused $11.25B in losses, in retaliation for Indian attacks, which murdered Pakistani civilians.
● India faces global backlash for misinformation, refusing to investigate the Pahalgam attack and spreading lies about a Pakistani imam.
On May 10, 2025, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, a decisive military response to weeks of unprovoked Indian aggression that has claimed civilian lives, including children, and destabilized the region. This operation, named after a Quranic phrase meaning “wall of lead,” targeted key Indian military installations, sending a powerful message:
Pakistan will not tolerate attacks on its sovereignty or its people
The operation comes in the wake of India’s barbaric Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, 2025, which killed 31 Pakistani civilians, including children, and injured 57 others along the Line of Control (LoC).
“The Trigger” : India’s False Flag Pahalgam Attack
The current crisis traces back to the Pahalgam Terror attack on April 22, 2025, in Indian-occupied Kashmir, where 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were killed. India immediately blamed Pakistan, alleging the involvement of Lashkar-e-Taiba militants with the supposed “digital traces” leading to safe houses in Muzaffarabad and Karachi. However, several irregularities cast doubt on India’s narrative. The First Information Report (FIR) for the attack was registered within 10 minutes after the incident, at a police station far from the attack site, and explicitly mentioned foreign involvement. This rapid response, combined with the location of the FIR, and the immediate steps taken after e.g. cancellation of the Indus Water Treaty, strongly suggested the attack was pre planned by Indian authorities as a pretext for military action.
India has also refused to allow an independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident, further fueling suspicions of a false flag operation. Pakistani officials, including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, have accused India of orchestrating the attack to justify its aggression, a claim supported by India’s history (i.e. Pulwama incident 2019) of fabricating narratives to escalate tensions.
India’s Brutal Attacks on Pakistani Civilians
Using the False Flag Pahalgam attack as an excuse, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025, targeting what they called “terrorist sites” in Pakistan and Kashmir. But this was a brutal assault on civilians and places of worship. In this attack India murdered 31 Pakistani civilians, including 12 children, and injured 57 others along the Line of Control (LoC). Villages were shelled, and families were shattered.
In a clear war crime, India bombed the Bilal Mosque in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, killing worshippers and damaging a seminary attached to it. India called this a “precision strike” on a “terrorist camp,” with providing zero evidence for it, and Pakistan has denied this, stating all targets were civilians. Reuters reported that 57 commercial aircraft from airlines like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and China were in the air over Pakistan during the attack, endangering thousands of lives. This reckless act of targeting a religious site violates international law and has drawn sharp criticism globally.
India’s recklessness didn’t stop there. They fired cruise missiles, but five of them misfired and slammed into their own Punjab region, killing more innocent people. The New York Times reported that India’s own actions led to the deaths of 16 Indian civilians in the crossfire, a fact conveniently downplayed by Indian authorities. These actions show India’s complete disregard for human life, whether Pakistani or their own.
Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos: Pakistan’s Powerful Retaliatory Response
Pakistan’s response was swift and precise. On May 10, 2025, Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos struck India’s military with precision and force. Pakistani state media and security sources listed the targets they hit:
1. India’s Power Grid: A cyber operation rendered 70% of India’s power grid inoperative, disrupting military coordination.
2. S-400 Defense System in Adampur: Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 jets, equipped with hypersonic missiles, destroyed India’s S-400 air defense system stationed in Adampur.
3. Military Intelligence Centre in Rajouri: A key facility in Indian-administered Kashmir used for operations against Pakistan was obliterated.
4. “KG Top” Brigade Headquarters: This strategic military headquarters was neutralized.
5. Uri Supply Depot: A critical logistics hub supporting Indian forces along the LoC was destroyed.
6. Airfields: Airbases in Adampur, Udhampur, Pathankot, Suratgarh, and Sirsa were heavily damaged, disrupting India’s aerial capabilities.
7. Artillery Position in Dehrangyari: Pakistani forces targeted and destroyed this position, weakening India’s frontline defenses.
8. BrahMos Missile Storage in Beas: A facility storing India’s BrahMos missiles was hit and obliterated, dealing a significant blow to its offensive capabilities.
Pakistan’s military also shot down several Indian jets during the operation. Reports from Pakistani sources, including Radio Pakistan, confirmed that at least 7 Indian fighter jets were downed by Pakistan’s JF-17s and surface-to-air missiles. This included 3 French-made Rafale jets ($200 million each), 3 Sukhoi Su-30 MKis ($70 million each), and 1 Mirage 2000 ($40 million each). The downing of the Rafales, in particular, marks a significant blow, as these were among India’s most advanced aircraft, touted as untouchable.
A viral image of a Pakistani soldier applying a tilak to a female pilot in front of a fighter jet became a symbol of national pride and unity.
The Heavy Cost to India: Billions in Losses
Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos dealt a massive blow to India’s military assets. Here’s a breakdown of the reported losses:
● S-400 System: India’s S-400, worth $5.4 billion, was destroyed in Adampur. This was one of only a few systems India bought from Russia, making it a huge loss.
● Fighter Jets: The 7 jets shot down, including Sukhoi Su-30 MKIs ($70 million each) and Mirage 2000s ($40 million each), add up to $490 million in losses.
● Airfields and Infrastructure: Damage to air bases in Adampur, Udhampur, Pathankot, Suratgarh, and Sirsa, along with the BrahMos storage site in Beas, is estimated at $2 billion in repairs and lost equipment.
● Power Grid Disruption: The cyberattack on India’s power grid caused economic losses of at least $3 billion, with 70% of the grid down, halting industries and military coordination.
● Total Estimated Loss: India’s military and economic losses from the operation are pegged at over $10.9 billion, a staggering hit to their defense capabilities.
These numbers don’t even account for the long-term impact on India’s military readiness and morale, which took a nosedive after the operation, especially with the loss of their Rafale jets, which they had heavily invested in as a symbol of air superiority, even the market shares of the company producing these jets took a blow.
Global Humiliation Of India
The world isn’t buying India’s narrative. On social media platforms like X, India is being roasted for its aggression. Hashtags like #IndiaPakistanWar and #BunyanUnMarsoos have been trending, with users from across the globe slamming India for attacking civilians, Israeli support, and faking the Pahalgam incident. The only country officially and openyl standing by India, supplying weapons agaisnt Pakistan is Israel, whose ambassador, Reuven Azar, said on X, “Israel supports India’s right to self-defense.” A famous phrase which Israel has used to carry out and justify a genocide against innocent Palestinians. But this backfired—Israel’s support has been taken as proof that India is the villain here. Both nations are now being called out for being brothers in genocide, with many pointing to India’s leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Modi, polarizing figure and a declared terrorist for his role in the 2002 Gujarat riots, where over 1,000 Muslims were killed. He’s also the head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist group inspired by Nazi ideology, according to Justice For All. The RSS, with its 60,929 daily military drills and 500,000 members, has been accused of targeting minorities, especially known for lynching Muslims and fueling India’s aggressive stance. Social media users are connecting the dots: India, under Modi and the RSS, is acting like a rogue state, and the world is taking notice.
India’s Godi Media and Global Misinformation Leader
India’s response to the operation has been predictably unhinged, with its media outlets—often referred to as “godi media” for their subservience to the government—spreading ludicrous claims. They’ve spread wild lies, claiming India conquered half of Pakistan and arrested Pakistan’s army chief, General Asim Munir.

Indian people rejoiced when the news spread that two key Pakistan Air Force Pilots have been arrested, even local Indian media picked up the story, names started circulating, Captain Qaim Ali Shah & Commander Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, but the only catch is that Chahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani singer and Qaim Ali Shah, a 92 year retired politician.
These stories are laughable, but they’re part of a bigger problem. India is the world’s number one source of misinformation, according to The World Economic Forum’s 2024 Global Risks Report has identified India as the leading country worldwide in misinformation and disinformation prevalence, and global studies like those from the Press Information Bureau (PIB), which has been debunking fake news from Indian media non-stop. This isn’t just bad journalism—it’s a desperate attempt to hide India’s failures and the civilian deaths they caused, including from their own misfired missiles.
India’s Dangerous Lies: Targeting an Innocent Imam
In a shocking display of misinformation, India tried to smear a local imam in Pakistan, Maulana Ahmed Raza, by labeling him the head of a militant group. Indian media circulated a photo of the imam leading prayers, with soldiers praying behind him, claiming it was evidence of his ties to terrorism. This was a gross lie. Maulana Ahmed Raza is a respected community leader in Muzaffarabad with no ties to any militant group, known for his charity work and interfaith outreach. The photo was taken during a routine Friday prayer session, and the soldiers were local security personnel joining the congregation.
This false narrative put the imam’s life in danger, as it painted a target on his back for both Indian forces and vigilantes. Pakistani authorities quickly debunked the claim, releasing a statement confirming the imam’s innocence and condemning India for endangering a civilian’s life with their lies. Social media users exposed India’s deception, with #JusticeForMaulana trending on X, where people shared videos of the imam distributing food to the poor, proving his peaceful character. This incident is yet another example of India’s reckless misinformation campaign, risking innocent lives to justify their aggression.
India’s Jealousy: Plotting Against Sikhs at the Golden Temple
India’s aggression isn’t just aimed at Pakistan—they’re also trying to sabotage the strong ties between Pakistan and India’s Sikh community. The Sikh community in Punjab has long had a warm relationship with Pakistan, with millions of Sikh pilgrims visiting their holy sites like Nankana Sahib every year. India, jealous of this bond, tried to stage another attack, this time in Amritsar at the Golden Temple, a sacred Sikh site. According to Pakistani intelligence sources, India planned to blame Pakistan for the attack, hoping to turn the Sikh community against Pakistan and spark unrest. This plot was uncovered before it could happen, but it shows how low India is willing to go to fuel division and hatred, all while pretending to care about peace.
Significance Of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos
Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos isn’t just a military win for Pakistan—it’s a wake-up call for the world. India’s fake Pahalgam attack, its killing of Pakistani civilians and children, and its refusal to allow an independent investigation show they’re not interested in peace. Their misfired missiles hitting their own Punjab region only prove how dangerous they’ve become. Global leaders, as reported by Al Jazeera, are begging both sides to calm down, but India’s actions are driving the region toward a bigger conflict.
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif made it clear: if India keeps attacking, Pakistan will keep fighting back. This operation exposed India’s vulnerabilities—their airbases, missile sites, and defenses aren’t as strong as they brag. The $10.9 billion in losses and global backlash on social media have left India humiliated and isolated, and having Israel in their corner, further deepens the damage to its global reputation..
The Final Word: Pakistan Stands Tall
Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos showed the world that Pakistan won’t back down. By hitting India’s military hard and exposing their lies, Pakistan is defending its people and its right to exist. India needs to stop the attacks, stop the fake stories, and let the world investigate Pahalgam, the likelihood of this happening is close to zero, as India is following in the footsteps of its new ‘SAARR’ (master) Israel.
Until then, Pakistan is ready to fight back—no matter the cost. The ball is in India’s court, but with the world watching and Modi’s RSS-driven agenda under fire, India’s next move could decide the fate of the region. One thing is certain: Pakistan is standing tall, and India’s days of unchecked aggression are numbered.
The global community needs to understand, Pakistan and India are two Nuclear States, and as Imran Khan said in 2019, when 2 nuclear states fight, the consequences are way beyond the border. India acting rogue can potentially lead to a humongous global crisis, Modi govt needs to be contained.
