  • Yesterday evening, Nigel Farage spoke about the emergence of “Islamic voting” as a significant factor in elections, predicting it to be a “headache” for the Labour Party.
  • Farage’s scare mongering remarks followed a Sky News analysis showing a decrease in the Labour vote in Muslim-majority areas.

In a segment on GB News yesterday evening, Nigel Farage told Tom Harwood that Islamic voting is now a factor at elections, which he says will become a “headache” for the Labour Party.

Broadcaster and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage made these comments following a Sky News analysis of the local election results. The results revealed a decline in the Labour vote in Muslim-majority areas.

Similarly, in February, Farage posted on X:

Many individuals, including journalist Bushra Shaikh, found Farage’s use of the term ‘radical’ in this post to be quite revealing, demonstrating contempt for Muslims.

Another user of X responded to Farage’s post with the following:

In March, the distinguished lawyer and Independent candidate, Mohammed Akunjee, made a guest appearance on GB News to discuss MP George Galloway’s victory in Rochdale.

Nigel Farage asked Akunjee about, “where his loyalties lie”, and if his priorities are with “the people as a collective” or with a “particular group” such as Muslims.

Akunjee responded to Nigel: “If you look at my position, particularly on Gaza, my loyalties lie with where 71 per cent of the British public loyalty’s lie on that issue.”

Nigel Farage’s focus on Muslims overlooks the fact that many conservatives share similar views with Muslims. Furthermore, support for Israel’s ongoing genocide, which is what has deterred Muslims from voting Labour, has also evidently gained traction beyond Muslim communities.
