Mohammed Hijab has successfully overturned his travel ban, with a judge granting him entry into the Netherlands for the Ramadan Expo 2025.

The ruling exposed the lack of justification behind the ban, rejecting political pressure and media influence as valid reasons.

In a resounding victory for free speech and justice, renowned Islamic speaker Mohammed Hijab has successfully overturned an unjust travel ban. A judge has officially granted his request, allowing him to enter the Netherlands for the Ramadan Expo 2025, despite efforts to restrict his presence.

This decision not only restores his freedom to travel but also suspends the minister’s alert in the Schengen Information System (SIS III) until six weeks after the objection decision, dismantling a major attempt to suppress influential voices on Islam. The ruling exposes the lack of justification behind the ban, as the minister failed to provide sufficient evidence that Hijab posed a threat to public order.

The court also rejected political pressure and media influence as a basis for the ban, emphasising that such restrictions cannot be justified by speculation or external agendas. To solidify this legal victory, the minister has been ordered to cover €907 in legal costs for the applicant.

The entry ban on Hijab was initiated by Dutch Asylum Minister Marjolein Faber and Justice Minister David van Weel, who also barred two other Islamic preachers, claiming they were spreading hate and abusing freedom of speech. However, this ruling exposes the baseless nature of these accusations and sets a crucial precedent against politically motivated suppression.

Mohammed Hijab’s presence at the Ramadan Expo 2025 will now serve as a powerful statement of resilience, proving that truth cannot be silenced. This moment is more than just a personal victory, it is a stand against the suppression of prominent Muslim thinkers and speakers worldwide. Justice has prevailed.
