A man was filmed allegedly burning the holy Qur’an outside the Turkish Consulate in central London on Thursday. Footage has been circulating on social media depicting a passer-by— a middle-aged man who appears to be wielding a knife around the ‘Qur’an burner’, beating and kicking him on the ground. He is heard in the video footage shouting, “You idiot, this is my religion!”
A delivery rider on a bicycle is seen allegedly kicking the ‘Qur’an burner’ and then riding off.
A Metropolitan police spokesman said: “A man has been arrested following an assault in Knightsbridge.
