  • Israel’s termination of vital resources like food, electricity, and water in Gaza coincided with an Israeli settler’s mocking of water-deprived Gazans, revealing a disturbing lack of empathy.
  • Amnesty International demands that Israel restore Gaza’s electricity, lift restrictions, and end the 16-year blockade, labeling the collective punishment a war crime, and emphasizing Israel’s legal duty as the occupying power to meet Gaza’s basic needs.

Could this man be one of the most malevolent and heartless individuals to have ever walked this earth?

As Israel terminated crucial lifelines such as food, electricity, and water to Gaza, the Israeli settler in this video, was seen mocking Gazans who do not have a water supply. This illustrates a striking manifestation of callousness in the face of the dire circumstances imposed on the Palestinians. The clip has since been circulating on social Media.

It highlights a heartlessness that transcends the boundaries of empathy and compassion. Such an inhumane act, in the context of a severe humanitarian crisis, serves as a disconcerting testament to the imperative of justice and the pressing necessity to address the human rights transgressions committed by Israel.

On 12th October, Amnesty International declared that ‘Israel must lift the illegal and inhumane blockade on Gaza as power plant runs out of fuel’

Amnesty International’s Secretary General Agnès Callamard asserted:
“The Israeli authorities must immediately restore Gaza’s electricity supply and suspend the increased restrictions imposed as a result of the Minister of Defence’s order of 9 October 2023 and lift its illegal 16-year blockade on the Gaza Strip. The collective punishment of Gaza’s civilian population amounts to a war crime – it is cruel and inhumane. As the occupying power, Israel has a clear obligation under international law to ensure the basic needs of Gaza’s civilian population are met.”
