  • Al Quds Brigade recently released footage showing an RPG fired at an IDF tank.
  • This article challenges the war classification used by the mainstream media due to an overwhelming asymmetry in military between Israel and Palestine.

Islamic Jihad’s Al Quds Brigade launched attacks on the Israeli Defense Force in the eastern region of Gaza, specifically targeting an IDF tank. Now referred to as ‘The men in sandals,’ on social media, the Al Quds fighters, like other resistance groups, employed rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) in their attempt to confront the Israeli Defense Forces. Recently released footage by Islamic Jihad vividly captures the firing of an RPG at an Israeli tank, focusing on its crew.

Islamic Jihad and Hamas are proscribed terrorist groups in the Uk and USA.

Challenging the mainstream media’s characterisation of events in Palestine as ‘a War’

United Nations experts asserted on 16th November, “Many of us already raised the alarm about the risk of genocide in Gaza. More than 22,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7th as reported by the Health ministry on Tuesday.

Therefore, contesting the terminology ‘war’ and ‘conflict’ adopted by the mainstream media becomes crucial when considering the near genocide taking place and the substantial asymmetry between Israel and Palestine in terms of weaponry, arsenal, finances, state backing, and troop numbers.

The Global Firepower Index, which evaluates criteria like troop strength, weaponry, technology, and financial resources, positions the IDF among the globe’s most formidable military forces.

In stark contrast, Palestine do not have an official state land army, nor an air force or a navy or an aircraft. Israel have approximately 169,500 active-duty personnel and roughly 465,000 individuals in reserve units. Palestine’s resistance groups on the other hand, have much less man power than Israel.

Israel possesses 90 nuclear bombs according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. Their nuclear programme appears to have come into fruition in the 1950’s. Notably, Israel’s secretly developed nuclear weapons, have not been produced under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), an international agreement that regulates the rules of the world’s nuclear inventory. While Israel has never officially declared its possession of nuclear weapons, additional evidence surfaced when Israeli Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu stated to Israeli media that dropping a “nuclear bomb” on Gaza is “an option.”

Israel’s military inventory comprises state-of-the-art missile boats, tanks, attack helicopters, and an extensive drone fleet. The IDF’s air force features advanced American aircrafts, including a substantial number of F-16s and F-35s.

The IDF possesses a supply of autonomous “loitering munitions,” commonly referred to as suicide drones, including Harop and Harpy models, capable of tracking and eliminating mobile targets. As per the Global Firepower Index, the IDF maintains an active troop count of 169,500. Recently, Israeli authorities mobilized around 360,000 reservists from a total of 460,000 non-Arab citizens aged 18-40 who undergo yearly training sessions.

In 2022, Israel earmarked $23.4 billion, as reported by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. The United States is a significant contributor, providing approximately $3 billion (€2.8 billion) in foreign assistance to Israel annually since 2017, with the majority directed towards military support.

America’s Billions-Worth Arsenal: Weapons Stockpiled in Israel

The specific location is undisclosed, yet within Israel lie heavily guarded warehouses housing weapons valued in the billions of dollars, property of the US government. Previously veiled in secrecy, these warehouses have come under increased scrutiny amid growing pressure on the Biden administration regarding its backing of Israel’s bombardment of Gaza.

Originating in the 1980s to swiftly equip US forces for potential Middle East ‘conflicts’, the stockpile has evolved, allowing Israel, under certain conditions, to access its substantial resources.

Since the October 7th, Isreal has unleashed tens of thousands of bombs in Gaza and it has been open about its demand for substantial quantities of munitions supplied by the United States.

Last month, there have been arising questions regarding the types and quantities of bombs the US is supplying to Israel, particularly the proportion sourced from the covert pre-positioned stockpile.

In Washington, legislators are expressing apprehension over proposals by the White House that seek to ease restrictions on the types of weapons stored in the stockpile, eliminate spending caps on its replenishment, and grant the Pentagon increased flexibility for transfers from the arsenal.

Josh Paul, who recently resigned from the state department in protest against Washington’s ongoing lethal support for Israel, stated that the suggested modifications to the stockpile are part of the Biden administration’s efforts to explore alternative means of supplying Israel.

Against all odds and despite the factors listed above, ‘Israel are losing this war”, as declared by The Guardian writer, Paul Rodgers:

Palestine may not boast the most advanced weaponry globally, but its mightiest strength is unparalleled. Palestinians possess that which Israel does not- taqwa, reliance on Allah, fear of Allah, and sabr (beautiful patience). Repeatedly, we’ve witnessed Allah (SWT) afflict the IDF with natural consequences, such as skin diseases and fungal infections. Furthermore, as Muslims, our faith teaches us that Allah swt can dismantle oppressors at any moment and provide protection in unimaginable ways.

Let us remind ourselves and contemplate on what the Prophet Mohammed (saw) said about the dua of the oppressed:

The Prophet Mohammed (saw) said,

Sahih al-Bukhari 4347
