IDF soldiers running from battle
The Israeli Defence Force has notably been encountering several issues. Last month we saw how the army removed a combat battalion commander and his deputy after they fled during an ambush by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas.
The incident occurred amid the Israeli military incursion into northern Gaza, as reported by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronot.
The officers, accompanied by numerous subordinates, stated to the newspaper that they opted to retreat due to the absence of military support or air cover for their unit when facing a group of Al-Qassam Brigades fighters in the ambush.
