In addition, they vandalised the property of the students, including their residence and motor bikes. The police were filmed doing very little to arrest the criminals.
The assailants, clothed in saffron shawls and wielding knives and bats, were heard chanting Hindutva slogans as they attacked the hostel, resulting in injuries to at least 10 students.
The majority of international students originate from African countries, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.
