  • Pro-Palestine merchandise on Amazon is tied to IDF funding.
  • Jeff Bezos has faced pressure to remove merchandise featuring the pro-Palestinian slogan “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

A recently viral video portrays pro-Israeli supporters, seemingly amused, as they discover that one of their own is selling pro-Palestine merchandise on Amazon, with 20% of the proceeds returning to the IDF. To add an element of irony, one individual in the group humorously mentions, “and we rub bacon inside the clothing.” It is worth noting that this remark may appear somewhat uninformed, as it disregards the dietary restrictions observed by Jewish individuals, who also abstain from consuming pig.

This video serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of exercising due diligence when inspecting the details of sellers prior to making purchases on online marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay.

Pressure Mounts on Jeff Bezos to Remove Pro-Palestinian Merchandise from Amazon

In a letter to Amazon’s chief on Thursday, seen by Newsweek, Charles D. Lavine, a Democratic assembly member for Nassau County and chair of the state’s National Association of Jewish Legislators chapter, urged Jeff Bezos “to use your position of authority to direct that Amazon NOT be involved in the sale or distribution of these death glorifying items.”

“The overwhelming majority of Amazon share owners and customers would be nauseated,” the chairman of the state legislature Judiciary Committee wrote. He added: “You may as well sell clothing bearing the words ‘Kill all Jews.'”

He continued to champion the removal of merchandise featuring the pro-Palestinian declaration, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”.

An Amazon spokesperson previously said that the products “do not contravene our policies,” which prohibit the sale of products that “promote, incite, or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual, or religious intolerance.”

It is intriguing to observe the deliberate distortion of facts and statistics by pro-Israeli proponents. One noteworthy example lies in Protocol 4 of the Geneva Convention, which illuminates the manner in which Israel has imposed a siege resulting in the loss of Palestinian lives. Furthermore, the present-day Palestinian death toll, surpassing 10,000 as reported by the Ministry of Health, cannot be overlooked.
