A captivated global audience bore witness as Mohammed Hijab graced the ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’ stage, providing indispensable insights into the recent unfolding events in Palestine.

“Im delighted to introduce our next guest, Oxford Graduate, Mohammed Hijab”

These of course were not the words uttered by television host, Piers Morgan. Nonetheless, Brother Hijab arrived well-prepared, displaying eloquence and fearlessly launching formidable challenges at Morgan, standing unwavering in his convictions. Frankly, Piers Morgan seemed ill-prepared to contend with the formidable adversary before him.

Why This Debate Must Be Embraced as a Pivotal Media Training Ground for Muslims

A notable transformation is underway. Historically, Muslims have ardently advocated for their views on prominent media platforms, including LBC and Question Time. Unfortunately, many have been ensnared in the convoluted web of media manipulation, forced into a perpetual defensive stance. Thus, this debate must be celebrated as an essential arena for honing media skills. Moreover, Allah’s favour smiled upon the Muslims in this debate.

Brother Hijab adopted an assertive stance, refusing to yield to the defensive, and left no room for Piers Morgan’s manoeuvres, courageously challenging the crafty language used in his introduction.

Piers Morgan’s Unmistakable Bias in Reporting

Piers Morgan’s unmistakable journalistic bias became apparent as the show opened with the story of an Israeli mother in search of her daughter, a method skillfully designed to sway and manipulate. Sadly, the platform failed to present the heart-wrenching accounts of Palestinian fathers who have endured the unbearable burden of cradling their deceased babies in their arms. It is essential to emphasise that, as Muslims, we unequivocally reject the mistreatment of any innocent civilians.

Following this, Morgan introduced the Ambassador to Israel, extending considerable sympathy towards the Israeli perspective and affording her uninterrupted speaking time. Notably, during this segment featuring the ambassador’s discourse, there was an absence of any commercial interruption. Moreover, Morgan refrained from questioning the ambassador when she mentioned allegations of rape and beheaded babies, all of which lacked substantiated evidence. Equally noteworthy, there was a conspicuous absence of inquiry into Israel’s involvement in war crimes.

Piers Morgan does not condemn the killing of Palestinian babies!

Repeatedly, Brother Hijab pressed for concrete evidence regarding the harrowing allegations of beheaded babies and instances of rape. He also confronted Piers Morgan with the question of whether he would condone the heart-wrenching killing of babies. Much to the audience’s shock and horror, Piers Morgan articulated a justification for the killing of Palestinian babies with the hackneyed expression ‘Israel had the right to defend itself.’

Debate highlight

Mohammed Hijab responded:

“How can it be that an occupier is defending itself in the first place? The notion that Israel is defending itself is as absurd as the notion that the rapist is defending itself from the victim- because Israel is the occupier!”

In this statement, victory was unequivocally secured and the matter definitively settled.

May the protection of Allah, the most Merciful, shield the Palestinian people from harm and grant them liberation from those who have subjected them to oppression and occupation for seven and a half decades. Ameen.
