- During a debate between Zeeshan Ali and far-right extremist James Goddard, Goddard claimed that Pakistanis have a low IQ.
- It was later exposed that he has a half Pakistani daughter himself. Does this mean he believes his own child lacks intelligence because of her race?
During the blessed month of Ramadan, a captivating two-hour debate erupted on X spaces. On one side, we had our dear brother Zeeshan Ali, of powerhouse Smile 2 Jannah and founder of S2J News, holding his ground comfortably— dismantling falsehood Alhumdulillah— firing facts like a sharpshooter.
On the other side, James Goddard, a far-right extremist and white supremacist, known for his inflammatory rhetoric, who showed up with his usual recipe of baseless claims—no facts, just hot air and empty accusations. It’s important to note, Goddard is currently putting his all into being a white British patriot— by defending ‘his people’ from the comfort of his beachside villa in Thailand.
The debate covered everything from migration to, yes you guessed it— the marriage of Aisha (RA). Goddard’s arguments were quickly exposed for what they were—empty, hateful, and entirely lacking in factual basis. Consequently, this wasn’t just a debate; it was a masterclass in the stark divide between truth and falsehood, removing the teeth from any judgement built upon manipulation.
“Have some respect when a white man’s speaking to you”, Goddard said at one particular juncture of the debate, stating that “white people have built everything” (and should therefore command greater respect) according to his logic. However, when directed towards the Islamic Golden Age Goddard swiftly changed the subject.
There were numerous moments of — I mean, genuine rolling-in-the-aisles hilarity — thanks to the sheer absurdity of Goddard’s statements.
However, what left listeners stunned was when Goddard boldly claimed that Pakistanis are “low in IQ”—a statement dripping with irony, given that it was later exposed that his own daughter is half-Pakistani and he has a Pakistani ex-wife. Moreover he had been banned from seeing his child due to a court ruling declaring him a danger to his child due to his racist rhetoric. Talk about digging your own grave!
Recent statistics highlight the profound impact of the far right’s deceptive, divisive, and perilous rhetoric on British Muslims. Tell MAMA, assert that over 4,000 Islamophobic incidents were reported in the first half of 2022—a significant spike compared to previous years. Additionally, a survey by the Runnymede Trust found that nearly one in three British Muslims has experienced direct abuse due to their faith, while Home Office data indicates a troubling surge in hate crimes targeting British Muslims. In the summer of 2024, riots ignited across the nation in response to far-right violence targeting the Muslim community.
