• This article explores the motives of certain Christian Missionaries at Speakers’ Corner.
• It investigates a hate preacher and Islamophobe with a criminal past, widely labelled online as a sexual predator and thief.
Oscar Wilde once said, “A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.” This brings to mind the so-called “Christian missionaries” at Speakers’ Corner. The ones I refer to lurk on the fringes of Dawah conversations selecting debates led by prominent Muslim speakers on YouTube in a desperate bid for exposure that they’d happily sell their grandmothers for— all while peddling their feeble provocations on a Sunday afternoon in London’s Hyde Park.
They continue to attempt to desperately disrupt, distort, and deceive viewers with their Islamophobic rhetoric— always with the same predictable futility. But, their posturing has crumbled, exposing something far more insidious. But more on that later.
On 26th March 2025, Pew Research Centre published a survey on trends in people changing or abandoning their religion, named, Around the World, Many People Are Leaving Their Childhood Religions. The survey concluded that Christianity is haemorrhaging followers at an unprecedented rate and that Christianity has suffered the most from apostasy.

Spain is the second highest on the poll, with a staggering 35% of adults stating they were raised Christian but have since abandoned their faith, identifying as atheists or agnostics. The trend is echoed across the Western world, where disaffiliation rates range between 20–30%. Even Italy—often regarded as one of Europe’s last religious strongholds—sees 20% of its population walking away from Christianity.
Moreover, the study reveals for every one person who converts to Christianity in Italy, a sizeable 28.4 leave the faith. Poland, another nation often perceived as deeply religious, follows a similar trajectory, with 12.4 people leaving Christianity for every 1 gained.
In Chapter 4 of the study we read the following findings pertaining to Islam:
Across the 13 countries with sufficient sample sizes to analyze religious switching for Muslims, 3% or fewer of all adults have left or entered Islam, resulting in very little change between childhood and current religion from religious switching. For instance, in Indonesia, the share of adults who currently identify as Muslim is equal to the share who say they were raised Muslim (93%). Fewer than 1% of all adults surveyed in Indonesia say they have left or entered Islam.
Could this be why Missionaries at speakers corner are growing increasingly frantic in their desperation to disrupt dawah efforts?
In fact, regarding the impact of Speakers Corner, I personally know sisters who have renounced Christianity and embraced Islam after having a few conversations with our brothers at the park.
Viewers have long seen how these particular “Missionaries” have never been in attendance to genuinely spread Christianity or Jesus’s (pbuh) “message”. Their mission has never been about faith, truth, or sincere dialogue. Instead, their entire existence at Speakers’ Corner evolves around one pitiful goal: to disrupt the Dawah and normalise Islamophobia.
However, no matter how loudly they shout, hate preach or which theatrical tactics they have up their sleeves, their attempts remain ineffective—mere background noise to a conversation far beyond their depth, as the aforementioned data suggests. Much like parasites clinging to a host whose arguments can never be over powered.
Are Zionists funding Christian Missionaries at Speakers Corner?
Allow me to introduce you to Shalini, in case you haven’t had the privilege—a truly unforgettable spectacle! This Indian Christian aunty, a regular at Speakers Corner, seems to believe that volume is the same as substance. She shouts with relentless enthusiasm, but somehow, despite all the noise, nothing of any real value ever emerges from her lips.

Hate preacher Shalini consistently disrespects Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) with derogative slurs and avoids engaging in any intellectual or academic dialogue that critically examines Islam. Nor does she like to engage in conversations regarding spirituality or society. Shalini also frequently harasses Muslims, trying to disrupt them from praying.
Recently, she was filmed in what appears to be a hotel lobby, seated with a Jewish Zionist who has also been a regular at Speakers Corner for many years. While there has been widespread speculation that she may be receiving funds from this particular Zionist to disrupt the dawah and aggravate Muslims, this allegation remains unconfirmed.

Despite Shalini’s reprehensible behaviour, Allah azza wa jal is the Most Merciful and has the power to transform even the most hardened hearts. Reflecting on this reminds us that change is always possible. Consider, for instance, the following hadith:
Narrated Abu Huraira: There was a Jewish woman who used to throw trash on the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) whenever he passed by her house. One day, she did not throw anything on him, so the Prophet (P.B.U.H) asked about her. He was informed that she was sick, so he went to visit her. When he went to her, he asked if he could help her, and the woman, astonished by his kindness, later accepted Islam. (Sahih al-Bukhari)
As Muslims, we are encouraged to think critically, but above all, we seek sincerity in our own actions and interactions with people. Perhaps one day, Shalini will choose to engage in a meaningful conversation with a Muslim—one grounded in listening and understanding—rather than resorting to shouting the loudest, perpetuating her fear-mongering, divisive and nonsensical rhetoric. If, on the other hand, Shalini isn’t blessed enough to be on the winning team— Team Islam—throughout her life, then, in my humble opinion, she would find greater peace by at least respecting those with differing views to her own, and coexisting peacefully with others, just as the Qur’an teaches:
“For you is your religion, and for me is my religion” (Quran 109:6)
Missionary or a Sexual Predator, Convicted Criminal and Thief?
Next up is Elvin Khan who goes by the name of Uncle Sam, a Pakistani Christian Islamophobe.
In one Youtube video he was filmed ranting, attempting to label Islam as a “perverted” religion.

Notably, a screenshot from a WhatsApp conversation featuring Ervin’s name and image is currently circulating online.

But Khan isn’t just being called a sexual predator online:

The reviews above are in relation to Uncle Sam’s dessert restaurant Love Crepe, he allegedly appears to be stealing from his customers as well:

Furthermore, after being convicted of perjury in 2009, how can anyone possibly take this man seriously when he speaks about God and religion, knowing his history of dishonesty and deceit?

In the comment section of a Christian YouTube channel, one of his few unquestioning followers dubbed Uncle Sam a “soldier of Christ.” One must ask: is it any wonder the deep trouble that Christianity finds itself in today.
