  • Pastor Henry Hildebrandt says he is proud of the Muslim students in Northwood School Ontario who stood up to their teacher, who berated them for not attending LGBTQ Pride Day.
  • The elementary teacher used emotive and manipulative language to vilify the youngsters.

Canadian Pastor Henry Hildebrandt, who has garnered an online presence on YouTube (as well as being known for his work in his locality), recently released a video expressing appreciation towards Muslim students and families in Ontario, Canada. The cause for this heartfelt response was their courageous decision to take a stand against attending LGBTQ Pride Day. In the video, Pastor Hildebrandt lauded the commitment displayed by these individuals in upholding their religious beliefs amidst societal pressures. His act of resistance was fuelled by an audio clip, skilfully captured by the students themselves last month, where their teacher’s reprimanding remarks for their absence during Pride Day were heard. This stirring incident resonated with many, igniting discussions on freedom of religious expression, inclusion, and tolerance within educational settings. As the video has gained traction online, it not only drew attention to the students’ courage but also brought the broader topics of diversity of thought to the public discourse.

Pastor Henry Hildebrandt said, “I am so very proud of the students that stood up to the Teacher.” He added:

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the the Muslim families who stand up to what we are dealing with presently in the Western world. I would encourage you…don’t allow them to ruin your children and indoctrinate your children on this evil, evil thing they are trying to force down our throats.”

The audio of the teacher berating the Muslim students in Ontario Canada can be found below:

In the clip, the teacher tells the students “You need to understand how hurt we are by your actions and take that home to your parents.” She continued, “It was an incredible show of hatred.” She asserts that their abstention was “disgusting” and “an incredible show of hatred” that makes her not want to be their educator.

In response to the noticeable absence, the teacher as well as other staff members, decided to cover the school in LGBT paraphernalia, including rainbows. “All the rainbows you see around the school was because very few people came yesterday and the teachers are angry”, the teacher said.

Following the incident in June, in a statement from the school principal Dustin O’Neil (addressing the parents) stated, “I want to emphasise that the views expressed do not reflect the values of acceptance, inclusion and belonging that make Northwood such an incredible school and community. We are deeply sorry for any harm that has occurred as a result of these comments.”

S2J News appreciates Pastor Henry Hildebrandt for commending the courage of Muslim families and students. These impressionable Muslim children exemplify a steadfast commitment to upholding their faith.
