  • Bill Maher continues to fuel Islamophobia with his offensive burqa fashion show parody, risking further hate crimes against Muslims.
  • Worn per Allah’s commandment, Muslim women observe the hijab as a deeply spiritual act, resisting objectification and prioritising prevention over cure.

On Friday, Zionist-Jew and staunch Islamophobe, Bill Maher, presented a satirical Niqab fashion show, a segment that not only fuels grotesque Islamophobia but also could potentially amplify the surge in hate crimes against Muslims, exacerbating societal divisions. The timing is noteworthy, aligning with the colossal failure of Israel’s PR campaign and the repeated exposure of their falsehoods by Allah. Additionally, the under reported struggles among their ranks.

Maher’s utilisation of models to mock and disparage the jilbab, featuring them swaying and revealing half of their legs, along with his derogatory parody of fashion show commentary, such as…

“It’s first-class clothing for second-class citizens” and “Dress it up or dress it down for midnight stoning”

……is deeply disrespectful and offensive to a global population of nearly 2 billion Muslims. Interestingly, during this segment, Maher fails to mention that the covering of the woman’s body is observed among Heredi Jews, Orthodox Jews and Orthodox Christians and nuns around the world. In light of this, we see that Maher is, in fact, an anti-Semite…

Some individuals have expressed their reactions to the segment on their X accounts:

Maher has previously employed this particular ‘Fashion show’ segment to convey a similar rhetoric in his show. Additionally, we recall the noteworthy occasion when American actor Ben Affleck endeavoured to counter Islamophobic remarks made by Maher on his show, alongside his guest, Sam Harris.

Watching this spectacle is derisive towards Muslims, given the spiritual connotations the jilbab holds in our faith, as well as its historical significance as it was worn by revered figures in our tradition. However, Bill Maher, an unabashed and virulent Islamophobe, and a Zionist Jew, is perhaps shamelessly employing these strategies as a testament to his acute frustration with Islam being unstoppable and being the fastest growing religion in the world.

The jilbab/abaya/hijab and modest attire is worn by Muslim women all over the world. This is in order to fulfil the following commandment from Allah (as stipulated in the holy Quran, 33:59):

“O Prophet! Tell your wives, and your daughters, and the women of the believers, to lengthen their garments. That is more proper, so they will be recognized and not harassed. God is Forgiving and Merciful”.

By meeting this obligation, Muslim women demonstrate a refusal to conform to societal norms that often aim to objectify and sexualize women indiscriminately. This is not to imply that a woman wearing the hijab is immune to harassment. However, in Islam, there is an emphasis on the adage that prevention is preferable to cure.

However, the primary motivation for Muslim women wearing the hijab is not rooted in external reasons. The hijab is worn as a direct commandment from Allah. Muslims adhere to the belief in the oneness of Allah (Tawhid) and understand that His commandments stem from His many attributes, amongst being The most wise. Consequently, wearing the hijab becomes a means for Muslims to cultivate a relationship of trust and reliance, signifying the connection between mankind and their Creator. Moreover, Allah will always command what is best for his slave and for society.

Interestingly, an experiment conducted in Brazil involved ‘The Dress for Respect’ worn in a nightclub by three different women. It was a short, snug-fitting dress embedded with sensors. These sensors meticulously documented the frequency and locations of physical interactions during their night out. In just three hours and 47 minutes, the women were touched around 40 times per hour, accumulating a total of 157 instances of contact.

In addition, various studies have indicated that the experience of being objectified negatively impacts a woman’s mood, happiness, and confidence. Additionally, being subjected to leering glances has been shown to adversely affect females’ performance on maths tests.

In May 2023, S2J News reported the ‘Subway Shirt’ going viral in New York. This was a ‘trend’ initiated by Claire Wenrick, a 24 year old Tik Tok star and content creator. Wenrick was about to meet her friend on a hot summer day. She opted to wear a blue tank top and a camouflage print skirt. Yet, before heading out, she threw on an extra-large white T-shirt to conceal the outfit she was wearing underneath. This trick, inspired by TikTok, involves using a large, baggy “subway shirt” to hide the intended attire and discourage unwanted attention from men. She explained, “It’s a way to protect my safety getting from point A to point B. I don’t want to become a target, as weird as that sounds.” It is no surprise that this became a trend since in New York, 2023, reported cases of sexual assault on the subway rose by 18% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Bill Maher’s pronounced interest in what attire women wear is deeply concerning. It is noteworthy that he has faced several accusations implying a proclivity toward pedophilia:

Islam does not impose its beliefs upon anyone. However, stands out as morally superior to all other ways of life. The Western world has considerable ground to cover regarding the safeguarding of women. This is evidenced by movements such as ‘Me too’ and many women feeling unsafe during public transport commutes and their places of work. Muslim women maintaining one particular dress code for venturing outside their homes and a distinctly different one for moments spent with loved ones or in places where they feel secure is a concept which many western women would indeed benefit from.
