On Friday, intense clashes erupted throughout the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of four Israeli soldiers and multiple injuries to IDF soldiers.

Hamas launched rockets at Beersheba, marking the first such attack since December.

Israeli tanks were said to have advanced along a main road separating the eastern and western sections of southern Gaza’s Rafah amidst ongoing heavy fighting in the region, including in Gaza City to the north.

The four soldiers were killed in the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City.

According to an initial investigation by the IDF, they were struck by one or more explosive devices in an alleyway while conducting a raid on a school complex.
