● An Israeli citizen has been arrested with 6 handguns and 200 bullets. 3 other arrests have been made by Malaysian police.

● Malaysia seems to have been targeted for its strong support of Palestine

On March 29th, Razarudin Husain, Malaysia’s inspector-general of police, explained that an Israeli man had been arrested.

He arrived in Malaysia on March 12th, from UAE, and entered the country with a fake French passport.

The 36-year-old man kept changing hotels in Kuala Lumpur. He was arrested on March 29th and was found with 6 handguns and 200 bullets on the day of his arrest. A Malaysian couple was also arrested for supplying the firearms, which were paid with cryptocurrency. The police believe the guns came from Thailand and a fourth person was arrested.

After being questioned by the police, the man handed over his Israeli passport. Identified as Shalom Avitan, he explained that he came to Malaysia to find another Israeli man, following a family dispute.

He also confessed to being on a mission to kill the head of another Israeli criminal group.

The Malaysian police did not buy this version. They believe the man is a member of Mossad and the security surrounding The Malaysian King, the Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and other top officials has been increased.

Malaysia is a strong supporter of Palestine and has 600 Palestinian refugees on its soil, according to the UN refugee agency.

Malaysia has recently banned any Israeli shipping company and vessels from entering its waters.

The country does not recognise Israel and created the PCOM- Palestinian Cultural Organization Malaysia in 2011, in order to spread awareness about the Palestinian cause. It is seen by the Israelis as an unofficial embassy of Hamas.

One month into the conflict, Netanyahu asked the Mossad to hunt down any top members of Hamas, wherever they were.

It is not the first time that Mossad would be on a mission to kill on Malaysian soil. Indeed, many believe that Mossad was involved in previous targeted killings in Malaysia before.

In 2018, Fadi Mohammad al-Batsh, a Palestinian engineer and scientist was killed by men on a motorbike as he was walking to a mosque in the Malaysian capital, to perform the Fajr prayer. Family and friends accused Mossad but Israel denied the claim.

In 2022, 13 individuals were arrested for kidnapping a Palestinian man. Allegedly, they were trying to secure software information in order to hack mobile phones.

Speculation is high right now in Malaysia on the true targets of the apparent assassination plot by the alleged spy.

Mossad has a history of targeted killings in several countries like Lebanon, UAE, and many more. Israeli researcher and journalist Ronen Bergman made some chilling revelations in his 2018 book called The Shadow War, Israel and the Mossad’s Secret Killings.

“In total, we are talking about at least 3,000 people, not only the targeted people, but the many innocent people who were in the wrong place at the wrong place,” the writer said in the German magazine Der Spiegel.

As Israel is losing the propaganda war, it is going to be much more difficult for Mossad to silence the millions of people around the world, including numerous Jewish people, who are voicing their solidarity with the Palestinian people and calling for an immediate ceasefire to stop this unacceptable genocide.
