- This article explores the historical implications of ‘Uncle Toms’ committing atrocities against humanity, and critiques the IDF’s attempt to fabricate the presence of similar individuals in their ranks.
- It explores Israel’s use of such characters to justify ethnic cleansing.
Uncle Tom, the Fredo Corleone of ‘The Godfather’, the Manafiq of plantation politics who bears labels such as the “non-practising Black” was charged with excessive subservience to his white masters and undermining the cause of black freedom fighters.
Incidentally, literary critics argue how few have met the real Uncle Tom who lives on the pages of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s 1852 novel, “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” This Uncle Tom exhibited principled resistance by withholding from his white masters the locations of two black slave girls who had been sexually abused.
‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin’, later adapted for the stage, has been repurposed as an epithet, casting a shadow on those who, in factual historical depictions, chronicle instances of black individuals betraying their own people for personal gain during the era of the slave trade.
*285 Mumia Abu-Jamal, journalist and former Pennsylvania death row inmate asserts in his article:
Throughout the long, tortured centuries of oppression against Blacks in America, a special contempt was reserved for those who dared snitch against the endangered slave community, people who made their "livings" by selling out their own people, sending information to dreaded slave-catchers in the South, who used the infamous Fugitive Slave Act to track and re-enslave those who dared escape their fiendish clutches. Thus, since its earliest days, the United States' approach to policing Blacks' alleged criminality was often predicated on using Black citizens to target other Black citizens, sometimes fairly and sometimes shockingly unfairly. And these Black experiences of criminal justice policy are claimed to have bred deep distrust of government and informing.
In the current context, Israel is compelled to fabricate the existence of counterparts resembling ‘Uncle Tom’ in their midst, emphasizing the rarity of such individuals within our ummah, Alhumdulillah. The profound injustices against the Palestinians have undeniably stirred the sleeping giant that is the ummah of Prophet Mohammed (saw).
The leaders of the Muslim world may yet be in a state of dormancy, representing the true Manafiq in this story. Nonetheless, the inevitability of an uprising among the masses is only inevitable.
This week, notable events unfolded, with the Houthis asserting themselves against the Israelis by blocking their entrance to the Red Sea. Simultaneously, the Malaysian Prime Minister echoed this stance. Additionally, there was a poignant moment featuring a resilient and angelic Gazan girl blessed with unwavering eman, providing a source of hope for us grown folk.

Conversely, there are individuals who have unabashedly surrendered their souls to Shaytan.
Pictured: Ex-Muslim Mosab Hassan Yousef, in a recent appearance on ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored,’ said that he holds no respect for Muslims as long as they identify as such and that Muslims should not be trusted.
In addition, Israel is unashamedly employing pawns in their chess game of lies and deceit by using so-called ‘Muslim Arab Israelis’ to illustrate that fighting for the IDF and massacring 20,000 innocent civilians is a noble cause.
Allow me to provide you with some insight: Those aligning with Israelis and supporting the Palestinian genocide are fundamentally distinct from those advocating against such atrocities. They stand as stark antitheses, akin to the timeless narratives of old where clear distinctions between protagonists and antagonists persist.
Interestingly, Israel includes these individuals in their unsuccessful efforts to justify the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. This propaganda ploy falls short of deceiving observers, especially in light of the notable shift in public sentiment. We see how in the Harvard CAPS-Harris poll, the majority of Americans aged between 18 and 24 agree that Israel “Should be ended and given to Hamas”.
Comically, the individuals used by Israel, alter their personas based on their audience. At times, they label themselves as ex-Muslims, occasionally as ‘cultural Muslims,’ and sometimes as outright ‘Muslims’.
Certainly, Israel, the self-proclaimed ‘most moral army in the world,’ would never forge information regarding the identity of Muslim IDF soldiers within their ranks.
In our closing reflections, it becomes increasingly important to turn to the profound wisdom of the Quran, specifically addressing those who propagate falsehood, hypocrisy, and malevolence in this transient world.
In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. And when it is said to them, “Do not cause corruption on the earth,” they say, “We are but reformers.”
