Epstein’s associate outlined 2011 plans to access Libya’s frozen state assets, potentially with support from former British and Israeli intelligence officials.

Documents also reveal Epstein’s connections to AI figures, including Peter Thiel, showing involvement in AI projects to destabilise Muslim majority nations.

Yet another newly released document reveals that an associate of the late U.S. financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein outlined plans to gain access to Libya’s frozen state assets. The plan reportedly included exploring potential support from former British and Israeli intelligence officials.

The tranche of documents, released Friday by the U.S. Department of Justice, includes an email sent to Epstein detailing what the sender described as financial and legal opportunities arising from the political and economic uncertainty in Libya at the time.

The email, dated July 2011, was sent several months after a NATO-backed uprising against then-Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi had begun. Gaddafi was killed by Libyan rebels in October of the same year. US.

“And it is estimated that the real number is somewhere between three to four times this number in sovereign, stolen and misappropriated assets,” the email states, adding that

“if we can identify/recover 5 percent to 10 percent of these monies and receive 10 percent to 25 percent as compensation we are talking about billions of dollars”

Another batch of Jeffrey Epstein – related documents reveals alleged connections between Epstein, prominent figures in the artificial intelligence sector, and high-level geopolitical discussions.

Among the disclosures are emails from 2002 between Ghislaine Maxwell and Jason Calacanis. Calacanis is a well-known angel investor and entrepreneur who has focused extensively on the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence. In the emails, he repeatedly praises Maxwell and expresses admiration for her. He also emphasises his personal connection to her, suggesting a close social relationship during that period.

The released documents also include email correspondence from 2014 between Epstein and Peter Thiel. Thiel is the founder of Palantir, a data analytics company that works closely with the U.S. government and has become increasingly involved in artificial intelligence initiatives. The emails show Epstein and Thiel discussing a strategy aimed at destabilising several countries in the Middle East and North Africa. These include Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt. In one message, Thiel reportedly writes, “The more chaos there is, with a large number of conflicting parties, the less we will have to do.”

The files further indicate that Epstein collaborated closely with Joi Ito. Ito is a Japanese entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and former director of the MIT Media Lab who later resigned following revelations of undisclosed financial ties to Epstein.

According to the documents, Epstein and Ito worked together on the development of artificial intelligence models. Epstein also helped connect Ito with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

Collectively, the newly released materials illustrate how Epstein played a significant role in connecting powerful individuals across technology and international politics and how he sought to harm the Muslim world. While many questions remain unanswered, the documents expand the scope of Epstein’s known influence and raise further concerns about the networks in which he operated, particularly as there are even more documents to be revealed.
