Israeli news outlet KAN News and the Israeli State Prosecutor’s Office released a statement on Wednesday 21st January, stating that Itai Levy, CEO of Kernelios, was convicted of several sexual offences against minors aged 4-12. Levy is in his 50s.

Levy pleaded guilty to four separate counts of statutory rape of a minor under 16 years of age, as well as indecent acts on a minor under 16 years of age, and violation of privacy.
As part of his plea bargain, the Prosecutor’s Office requested that the court sentence Levy to ten years imprisonment, as well as an additional suspended sentence and a NIS 258,000 fine.
Levy had committed heinous paedophilic acts over the course of two years and had assaulted a total of nine children, according to Israeli news outlet Maariv.
During a raid of his home in Modiin, investigators found that he had taken explicit photos and videos of children in various states of being undressed, and saved them to his phone.
A Justice Ministry spokesperson stated that evidence was found of Levy sneaking into his victims’ rooms at night as they slept.
Following the discovery of the findings, the parents of the minors were summoned to receive an update and a briefing from welfare officials.
Earlier in January, according to Israeli police, a man in Haifa was arrested on suspicion of having raped his daughter repeatedly over the course of several years. The man allegedly began raping the girl when she was 7 years old and continued until she was 15, at which point the police intervened. Results of the investigation indicate that the suspect raped his daughter on several occasions in different locations around Haifa.
